Elmer, as you indicated for yourself over the weekend, similarly I try to draw reasonable conclusions from public information. It makes no sense for HP to have a single Itanium architecture from top to bottom, it would cause severe price pressure on their highest end computer products. It would be a disaster for them.
HP is a business which stands on three basic products - PCs, printers and high-end compute products. Two out of those three businesses are profitable. I think you know which one isn't, and why HP needs to protect the top.
