Even Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook could crash to zero causing people to lose tons of money. There is no such thing as a safe stock. Look at Enron, Liemon Bros, Fannie Mae, etc. They all were trading 3 or 4 digits and fell to pennies or zero. So stop the stupid speech about people owing an $800 stock that is fundamentally worth $25. Everyone who buys AMC stock now knows what's going on with the the APE Movement and the Short Squeeze is very well explained. If you get in at $500, you are doing so because you believe the stock is going to $Thousands and not to $25. Just like buying 1 week out Option OTM that you know can go to zero or go to some profit level.

You are buying at your own risk, so stop acting like there is some conspiracy to defraud the shareholders. If one does not like the price don't buy the stock.

The only conspiracy to defraud the public is coming from HFs like Citadel with their Naked Shorting shenanigan ripoffs.

I keep seeing people posting this false scenario. Here's what you don't get. We won't be selling to each other. We'll be selling to computers that are buying to cover. Only MMs and margin called hedgies will be buying our shares. And no, they won't be shorting from the top because they are already in liquidation mode. If someone else does short that high, they probably selling to some covering HF. So win-win
