for an already established company? yes. a shell? no.

only thing you will lose is the multiplier effect when it moves up. the "value" should stay the same.

Let's say you have 1000$ in at $.0010 for a million shares. After the split you will have 100,000 shares valued at a penny, $ .0100, with your holding still at 1000. Now you are bought in higher, and if the stock dips after the RS you have an opportunity to buy in lower. I sold 3/4 to take potential advantage of a possible dip.
