Because they are fake/synthetic shares. The HF sold more shares than are free and available in the float. Its a error that SEC/DTCC has created by accident to allow trades to occur without proper inventory of where the shares are coming from. Theoretically we should not be able to trade anything now since all 500 Million shares are held by APES and institutions and there are non left in large quantities open to the market. But yet we traded today 700 million shares. How many of those shares are unique shares and where did they come from?

Thats all rumours. This traded under 700mill. How can they be short 1 billion plus. Gotta deal with facts and assumptions not rumours .

Actual shorted shares cannot be more than the float... 460 million?
So even if 1 billion out there.... shorty got some splainin' to do.

And I say multiply that by 3, 4, 5, 6 times the amount of synthetics.
All HFs do is create them and dig themselves a deeper grave.

Let me tell you something, there are a lot of smart, very smart traders/investors that know the whole story behind this curtain, some even with PHD"S and two masters degrees under their belts, they believe this ticker has the possibility of hitting big numbers tomorrow. This is not assumptions or rumors, they know approximately what the actual share count is. It is ok to play the devils advocate, but I am telling you this is going to hit minimum 50-60 dollars if they are remotely close to the actual numbers in the OS, if they nailed it to the last share count, this is going to triple dollars. There are some genius people on the reddit group, now, is it possible that this hit 100,000 dollars or 500,000 dollars? I think not, but history has showed us with what VW did and what GM*E did, now given the fact that there is more powerful force behind AMC, with astute traders and investors alike, this can potentially hit 4 figures, but I don't know when that will happen. But I wholeheartedly believe that this will hit triple dollars in short order.
