You are correct. I conflated the two types. Moving too fast this morning, but this is the first info I've seen on any "unintended splicing" from either type. Furthermore, the CDC is careful in using different wording for the two types of injections...

For viral vector vaccines:

The genetic material delivered by the viral vector does not integrate into a person’s DNA.

I'm also not covinced on their statements about mRNA vaccines not entering the nucleus of the cell because of how little info that is available on the lipid delivery mechanism, SM-102. I'm well past the chloroform debate some were having, but am still nowhere near convinced that it is proven to be both safe inside humans, and safe inside cells.
