Could you share those 2 companies that got the hold letter? Also I was by the understanding that if the FDA does not send you anything by the 30th day, you are automatically eligible as well.

In the OTC when expected news is not released as projected there is something wrong as to why the company DID NOT release the news. Seen it hundreds of times. Personally I think it is time to press the sell button a little harder.
