the thing is all contracts I have are either best friend's family who owns the lastest construction material wholesaler in Northeastern region of Thailand (where I think the market will be huge) and have built many apartments for students to rent around many universities in the region., my uncle who is a mayor but he and my dad are kinda not so friendly to each others since they ran against each others on one year (however it's nothing to do with me and I can talk to my uncle just fine), my aunt who just got married with a guy who own sizable construction business in Thailand, then via my father and his chinese decentdend's rich friends and political people. Who won many government and UN's contracts in the past years.
Obviously contacts and "who you know" are in the pocket. So far I sent presentation and phone to my best friend's family and my dad. My concern is if both of them interest in doing something about it, if i have to choose who will I choose? In Asia, making money is not so much of a clear cut. Family stuff is very strong. Offen time you have to choose doing business with family even it means hurting the bottomline.
As for myself I just hope my friend's family wants it because my friend runs the business now and we are "very" close. I rather work with my best friend than with the family.
