The Pfizer vaccine is FDA approved for emergency use. This is an accelerated approval that is based on data from human trials. So it has been tested. These trials were truncated but the full trials are still ongoing and Pfizer is submitting to the FDA for full approval of its vaccines. And continues to expand use in other populations like 12 to 15 years old.
