Many adults have died after taking the vaccine and others have had dibilitating side effects. No way should one kid take that risk.
"Many" is an overstatement. As noted previously by many here, the number is statistically insignificant. I experienced "debilitating side effects" from my second shot. So did others. But they only last a few days, and are harmless.
The "debilitating side effects" of COVID itself are far more serious, and they typically affect victims who didn't have particularly severe cases. They're unable to concentrate, to sleep, to work, and more. Oddly, some of these long Covid patients have found their symptoms cleared up when they got vaccinated.
