"I don't think there is a need to create a silkworm with a non-mulberry diet that is going to be farmed in s/e asia. Mulberry is already a very cheap and fast growing crop."

im sure its cheap but it aint free...and given the amount that must be grown and purchased, its gotta cost a fair amount...

what if instead of growing mulberries, the farmers could grow rice and use it or sell it and make money doing that...and while they are cultivating the rice, prodigy gets the leaves or stalks for free...so much the better..

im thinking that the actual costs for manufacturing silk out of prodigy is not as cheap as it was once projected to be...and i dont think ms or ds is going to sell for as high a price as once anticipated either...

not too concerned about the U.S. my guess is that the U.S. is going to be for pure spider silk which is what the military would want and perhaps JnJ for sutures and skin / bone grafts / scaffolds or whatever...they definitely gonna pay top dollar....and do so gladly...

the U.S. worms can be bred to eat dollar bills and it wont matter...lol

"Kim sold the property on 4/16/2021 to someone named Posadas"

wasnt aware kim had sold the property already...bet he made a tidy profit....kim is just raking in the dough from all kinds of places...
