Insiders in public companies cannot purchase shares except within 30 days after filing fins. That extends to their families too. The share price goes down simply because there are more sellers than buyers, and because some sellers don't sell at a limit. You don't NEED anything besides sellers and buyers to see the price change. It is ALL about supply and demand. Demand is down now, supply is plentiful. Price is following that situation.
