Congrats on that. Yes it was listed on the FDA site last year stating just that. I do not remember but I believe that was the test developed by Zhengzhou Fortune Bioscience Co., Ltd. and not Sorrento. In the UK Zhengzhou Fortune Bioscience Co., Ltd. mentions that this is the Sorrento test, the Ag test which differs from the platinum nano-catalyst core (PtNC) that they manufacture now. Having said that the ANP Tri-merger may result in something new. They now have approved tests for the Military on a broad front of biological warfare agents in white powders, immunogenicity assays disease, NIDS® COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (for Investigational and surveillance use only), Nanoencapsulation platform technology and their NIDS® Nano Intelligent Detection System. With what Sorrento already had, the additions gained through acquisitions, from universities, hospitals, DARPA and now though ANP could result in a EUA but more importantly a permanent FDA approval. ANP has a commercial side that is not big but might be; Shortly after the NIDS® ACE rapid pesticide test went on sale in various grocery stores and on Amazon, it quickly became a preferred tool for consumers to test their fresh fruit, vegetables, tea leaves, dry fruit, traditional Chinese medicines, coffee beans, beverages, wines, and, more interestingly, a research and educational tool for students ranging from middle school to college.
Don't forget ANP Technologies®, Inc. Received $19.7M from NIH/NIBIB/Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) Program for its NIDS® COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Kit April 16, 2021.
