Actually, I would not take a bribe even at $25 million or $50 million. Many people would take it. Although, money is nice it is truly not the key to happiness.
The American people have a right to honest services within our government. Sadly, what is lacking is self respect and character these days. Public servants such as a Federal Judge have a lifetime appointment to avoid and prevent such situations. Some not all, are activists and/or politicians wearing a robe. Despite not being visibly active in partisan politics it is always beneath the surface as they are appointed through a political process. Whenever politics enters an equation - anything is possible. It appears to have the makings of a political decision rather than a legal decision. However, we will never know what happened here.
