As BnB points out NC opened last month. After vaccinating teachers, and staff. Orange County (liberal) pulled it off without discord. Teachers who objected to teaching in person were told to find another job. Parents, usually vaccinated, were relieved. Yet to play out will be the response to child vaccinations. With 5-12 estimated to be coming this Fall for the mRNAs.

My county is liberal as well. They took various polls here and parents were hesitant to send their kids to school and most opted for Zoom teaching until the vax came along.

Then we changed the rules and teachers and staff moved up the totem pole to the top for vaccines. We actually had days and sites set up for teachers and staff only. My wife dropped down a notch.

I knew one teacher who refused to get a vax. They wished her well in her new job.
