Perhaps it's of little consequence...

but all 5 authors appear to be from India, and all are affiliated with 3 different divisions of the National Dairy Research Institute: Animal Genomics Lab, Cell Biology and Proteomics Lab, and Animal Biochemistry Division.

Considering what's taking place in India right now, I find their endorsement of Brilacidin as 'a most potent drug against SARS-CoV-2 than the known antiviral drugs' compelling.

It’s a pretty ballsy statement in an otherwise typical academic article. Not a position an academic is typically willing to stake.
