Bar, >> Successful investors dealt with the pandemic by holding <<

Yes, 'buy/hold forever' has worked well for a long time, and the underlying assumption that stocks will always fully recover after every market crash is based on that history. But just because they always have doesn't mean they always will.

Yes, the market came back thanks to mega trillions from the Fed, but these infusions are now impossible to withdraw, even after Covid is long gone. But these infusions are not sustainable. As the globalist's own publications have been announcing for some time, the dollar reserve system is nearing the end of the road. Preparations are underway for the transition to the new global reserve system, so the SDR topic is something to be aware of because it is central to everything. Its effects on the US standard of living will be profound. Power is to be centralized globally, with the US greatly weakened.

This obviously won't happen overnight, but it seems only logical to begin transitioning toward hard assets, instead of having everything in stocks/bonds.

bar: Do you own any shares of Exxon-Mobil? With oil prices sure to rise with growing inflation I'm looking at the current price and looking at that fat Dividend of > 5% and I'm wondering if picking up 1,000 shares might not be a good long term addition to our portfolio. I have too much weighting in precious metals and need to diversify into other hard assets.
