Guess that blows that "have to be current" theory out the window. The split will happen,already approved and scheduled by FINRA.

Shareholders that were in before the split won't be able to trade shares until into next week for many brokers while they take 4999 shares away from each 5k you own. Many also charge a FEE for doing the RS work.
