By "run" do you mean they took patients blood and sent it in?

Actually I am very happy that the trials are run by clinical people. Science is very important, but many times it gets out of control and it serves then only anymore for itself and not for the aim. In case of medical science not anymore for people.
In operation- companies the research team supports the operation- team, but never run the operation itself. Try differently and the company is within short time bankrupt. In case Of medicine: people die. That's we have in USA.
