I agree that if brilacidin turns out to be an effective treatment for COVID-19 then the incompetence and tardiness of Leo Ehrlich in getting the trials done is indeed unforgivable, especially given the cooperation of FDA in granting FTD and advising on the protocol.

However I think it’s unlikely to be the case. If brilacidin had one tenth of the potential its supporters claim it would have been snatched up by private equity or Big Pharma months ago.

Assuming that Brilacidin performs well in the current trial, IMO millions of people worldwide “will have died needlessly.”
