They only way they use your shares is if you trade with a margin account. If not don't worry about it

Yup, I’m dealing with that too. They won’t let me place sells where I want which is high.

It happens if too far in one direction or another but some platforms will let long expiry or GTC orders stay, just set email alerts 10-20% under price targets and then place orders then if it continues to happen
