Very much. I was in a continue ed class and the speaker was one of the most respected clinician in the field of infections and allergens. Someone ask why such an uptick in medical emergency and deaths to anaphylactic shock do to allergens. He simply turned and said because parents don't let kids eat dirt anymore. On a side not to that there is a specialist in St. Louis Mo. who is now treating the severe allergic by introducing the allergen in the 1 millionth of a particle. Let them react, then try to keep upping it until he can get the patient to a level where they wouldn't go into anaphylactic shock and die if introduce to say just a peanut. Still would need epi, but would live. Life resistance levels

I agree with you, it makes sense. Everyone has been so protected and “safe” they’re now likely to be more susceptible to common diseases the body would normally fight off, from normal infections to the common cold and flu.

Eat dirt, live longer!
