Aussiekevin, I think you missed the point of what the author, I and others are saying. It's not so much if the markets go down or up but more on how they are going down or up. Dips do get bought but the author asked why one would buy a dip so soon after the open.
I think anyone that doesn't acknowlegdge that 40+% of the market is now program buys, and those buys are possibly account for manipulation and intervention, is being sorely shortsighted and naive.
