I am just going through a similar situation where a deal was within a division of Pfizer that was being sold. It was not good news and has now caused a delay going on 7 months and a stock price dropping from $2.75 to a buck fifty. As a deal progresses and they start talking money, everything gets frozen. Nothing in nor anything out of the division being sold. The BioCurex deal could proceed if the money given to biocurex comes from within the diagnostics division but even at that, management might be reluctant to close deals and affect the sale by altering the cash balance. If money for the deal had to come from Abbott Labs, then it wouldn't happen.

This could definitely explain any delay in handing over money. They would also want to keep the cash position in the division as high as possible. It just depends upon where they place their priorities.

That could be another explanation for the recent selling knowing that it would be delayed. This one is anyone guess as to what it means and how it will affect BioCurex. It may not affect anything.

Sounds like the in-vitro diagnostics and Point-of-Care diagnostics may not be our Abbott unit after all.
