They propose deferring an Adeno vector, and a mRNA vaccine. Those 2 classes covers almost all of the "genetic" vaccines! Although the AZN vaccine has the most problems. Including its efficacy against the variants especially in 65+.
1. Take the vaccine (e.g. mRNA), and risk you will be one of the <1% lucky ones to develop an autoimmune condition resulting in blood clots.
or
2. Don't get vaccinated. In which case one hopes not to get a Covid infection with a 7-28% chance of blood clots.
Thus far it's background noise for the vaccines. For now they might want to monitor those already with an autoimmune disease, or have increased co-morbidity risk for blood clots, abnormalities in the platelets.
There are the protein or non-genetic based (e.g. NVAX), vaccines yet to be approved, that could be used in high risk individuals, or if the problem increases with future booster shots. But even the more traditional vaccines can cause these autoimmune reactions.
