Your balance sheet would ne negative too if you were just coming off a government mandated closure of your business for 1-1.5 years. Hell my business was able to stay open because of the services I offer are "essential" but that doesn't mean my sales weren't impacted badly because of covid. Now that people are not "lockdown" Im seeing a lot more people wondering out wanting to get projects started/finished.

I don't look at last years balance sheet and say, well i guess this year is going to suck because of last year. I'm pumped and excited for the next 9 months because the customers are coming out of their homes and into my store wanting to get projects done. If all I did was look at my balance sheet for last year and think it will happen again this year without taking into consideration what the next 9 months mean with no restriction; Hell I should just close my doors now and send my 9 employees home to draw unemployment. SIGH.....It doesn't work that way!
