My guess is if they actually filed an 8k for a deal with Chase they'd PR it because that would be good news. That's why it's important for them to file. The longer we see nothing, it seems like it was just a tweet to get people to buy off their imaginations of what it could be.
I could sign up for a Chase credit card and tweet "deal is inked, thanks @chase!"
