DocBlkAdr - I don’t know the actual miles but is isn’t far in geological terms as Israel is a small country. Believe me, there is oil in the vicinity where they are drilling. (Smile).

Doc--Check with Delek Group LTD (DKL). They have rigs off shore Israel.

Distance to an existing gas pipeline is more important. A gas pipeline connection to your well will run about $7 million per mile in Israel. That means you need to be pretty darn close to a gas pipeline before a $20 to $25 million dollar gas well becomes economical.

In spite of the name "AND GAS", ZNOG needs to hit oil, which can be transported by truck, not gas.

That huge gas field was discovered just north of Egypt so may well trend under the Golan Heights. Hard to say.
