There are many reasons health care workers don't get vaccinated. The simplest is that incident of covid isn't as high in their area or they have already had covid. The other is being young and deciding to take a chance since such a small percentage get seriously ill from it.

The reasons why anyone would not get the vaccines is a fascinating topic. It boggles the mind. I can only speak to what I know from talking to people at work- in our Boston suburban emergency dept almost every person got the vaccine- as documented by management not self reported. The people that I heard say they did not get it were pregnant or already had COVID or both.
I have heard some people make a case that the mRNA vaccine longevity is not known. Most of those same people- having wondered about it- get the vaccines.
But I am shocked that anybody who saw a lot of very sick people would not get vaccinated . I know it happens but it makes no sense.
