All Investing is speculating jmhollen... When you go long in a stock you're 'speculating' that its value will increase. Whether your opinions as to what will cause that increase are technically or fundamentally based...either way its speculating.
Likewise with a short position, except then you're speculating that the PPS will drop.
I have no problem refering to my investment style as 'speuclative'...and given the recent volumes in ENGY I don't think I'm the only speculator out there.
