In the long run; Alaska is floating on oil. Now that Bristol Bay is open to exploration, the native corporations tired of being Jimmie Carter's perpetual Smithsonian exhibits will demand their share. No one is going to fly to their villages for the casino action of their cousins in the lower 48; so, start pumping!
The Sea of Okhotsk in the Russian Far East is also floating on oil and is being developed.
Venezuela must sell their oil if they want to take the terrible economical hit of socialism. Oil can be a curse to countries i.e. Saudi. Everyone stands around with their tin cup wanting to live like a prince while Indians and Pakistanis do all the work. Why Venezuela wants to kill all productivity in their country to spit in our eye is beyond me. I feel sorry for their people, but for me it works if their oil goes to Cuba, then to a Caribbean refinery, and then to my 5.4 L V8.
