HDG. re Tenapanor ( Ibsreia ) ...Its not being used by dialysis patients in either the hospital or the dialysis units my wife rounds on .
Its not unusual for it to take up over a year for a new CKD / dialysis drug to gain acceptance in the clinic . They always want long term data on large numbers and preferably wait till head of Dept attends a conference and then orders use on return .

Theres also the cost issue

A supply of 30 capsules or tablets of either drug runs about $500, according to GoodRx.
