I wish I was enough of a bum to get free government money!

Are unemployment payments enough to have a good standard of living? My expenses are about $7k a month and I don't live extravagantly. I can't imagine unemployment pays even close to that. These people need to work, unless they are just scum to begin with and don't mind living off canned beans sleeping in a motel.

Remember though the community we (vnue) are servicing hasn't worked in about a year.

I was one of the many people in touring that was laid off, luckily I was able to pivot quickly to another career, many of my friends were not.

Those stagehands, Production Managers, guitar techs, roadies, stylists, hair and makeup, musicians, backup singers, venue managers, merch makers/sellers (the list goes on) have specific skill sets that do not easily cross over to other careers.

For the 2 months I was unemployed the extended unemployment was helpful. Although I lost a ton of money in 2020 the extra unemployment was welcomed, I can assume the people i listed about feel the same.
