Because ever since wall street bets happened you have a bunch of random people thinking they can become rich by investing in whatever. There were a lot of penny stocks that rose simply because of this and then dropped back down. I'm expecting the same to happen again once stimulus payments are out.

Because 1 fat rich clown made a comment about people sitting at home using stimulus money to trade stocks and pick on the wealthy lmao. Thats an honest to God quote. He basically wants us poor folks to know we are beneath the rich and could only afford stocks if we get government money.
