JF. Before your MI were you on both statins and Vascepa
We were discussing ( on the other board ) UHC mandating prior approvals before covering Vascepa and thinking they may want patients to try higher doses of generic statins before providing insurance coverage .

Dew as U may know. AMRN has named HealthNet as a defendant in their infringement case against Hikma
UHC has responded by providing coverage for Vascepa
for only the CAD indication




Prior to retiring, I was tossing ibuprofen like jelly beans and a triple shot when I got home for most of a decade to relieve the arthritis pain. Post knee replacement surgery, I was offered gabapentin for the residual pain, including in one of the new knees. OV 500 and V were my response. A sympathetic MD and out of pocket got me the script and the pain relief. Nothing to do w/ cardiac matters of coverage, SOC, or protocol. .
