I believe that all viruses have their own variants off shoots of the original virus. That is why I believe when folks used to get the normal flu every year some were very sick others not so much. I varies with your makeup internally as to how you fight off such variants and viruses. Those with lower immune systems suffer much more so than those with higher immunity in their bodies.
