Generally, I would agree with you on penny stocks. Trade the ticker, not the company. Those pump n dumps are certainly a buy and hold long enough for profit. GME however is not like those penny pumps.
Among the many catalysts are the short positions and the implications of the weekly options that are expiring. Add to that the hedge fund war that is seemingly taking place behind the scenes along with the brazen market manipulation and it’s a recipe for a gamma/short squeeze that will make anyone still holding much more wealthy than they began.
