There is nothing to gain the rights to. The patent has expired.
A chemotherapy concept from 20 yrs ago, isn't going to impact anything. Especially, since it's using a drug already proven to be ineffective for 2nd line pancreatic cancer.
As for diabetes PMCB has nothing other than the empty cellulose CIABs. The wonderful UTS insulin producing cells bombed out over two years ago. Hint: Empty cellulose beads don't produce insulin. Meanwhile competitors in the field are already in CTs, and yrs ahead. Of course the real solution will come in the form of a MHC-1 knockout, insulin producing cell. Not requiring any encapsulation.
Then the many already have their wish. A permanently frozen IND on Hold.
That isn't even close to reality. The current IND will remain on Hold. There will be no CT based on it. Neither does the FDA grant "fast track" without CT data. Usually at the end of Phase 2. What Lohr called Phase 2 back in 1999 is a joke. The FDA doesn't "fast track" jokes.
It's HUGE ok, as in huge nonsense. What is this >$25B market cap based on? An IND on Hold? Don't forget, come Jun, Kenny ought to be ready to take the O/S from 2.5B to 3B. Then the dream will be a $30B market cap.
