Earnings may very well bring in some volume. Loss expectations have been lowered recently which may only help- but definitely only a small part in the implied volatility.
Lack of shorting will be the biggest in my opinion. Easing of Covid restrictions, less shorting, shorts covering, the high call options, possible better than expected earnings... not a hypist but the term “perfect storm” has entered my mind.
