I haven't spotted an obituary for him (via Google). However, finding anything about him -- let alone by him -- that is recent is pretty hard.

Just now I found a 'zoominfo' update to his info dated 11/12/20:

but that could have been automated, for all I know. I have found nothing about or by him dated this year [not including a 2018 article about the Glendale Illegal Burger opening, that for some reason had the date Feb 15, 2021 on the picture that accompanied the article].

You ask, 'does he even care?' Great question.

Trader53 says getting 'pink current' will happen soon. How does he know? Also, being 'current' doesn't mean being profitable. For all we know, the financials will absolutely reek.

Frankly, as I see it, that's the most relevant question to any potential Illegal Burger franchise owner. Who'd want to open a franchise if non-franchise Illegal Burger can't show a profit?
