Ya need to move. I have lived all over - New England, Brooklyn, from Ohio, LA, New Mexico, Florida. Every place sucks. Florida sucks less than most. Get below Orlando and throw the snow shovel away.
I have a few claims to fame.... I was about 6 or 7 yrs old living 4 houses from the beach in Rockaway NY. The 5th house was Captain Kangaroo. Saw him all the time.
My aunt was a gold diggin' looker who lived with us in LA. She stuck her fangs into Dan Blocker. I saw him a lot. My aunt would tell me to watch for him (outside) coming to pick her up. He'd give me a dollar to tell her he was there. Big bucks for a nine year old. You could buy something with a dollar back then.
