...a "dumpster fire" is a tragedy with limited scope, as in, a fire that is contained and can't spread.

The entire OTC is down. This is a "cluster f_ _k!"

Unless, of course you subscribe to the theory that this is a shaking-of-the-trees event aimed at clearing out weak-hands. In that case, Dumpster Fire would be apropos.
