There are certain Federal court districts that are notorious for attracting very decent legal talent to the USA's office. And these jurisdictions generally gett the hardest, highest profile Federal criminal cases around. Being indicted in one of them is some seriously badd luck.

These are:

S.D.N.Y.
N.D. Cal.
N.D. Ill.
Mass.
S.D. FL

And, you've been in one (and you may be there yet again!) and now you're in yett another.

Some wood put E.D.N.Y. in that group, as they do gett high profile criminole cases, butt IMO that USA office is weak, weak, weak and not at all in the league of the aforementioned jurisdictions or even the following one. And DC getts high profile cases and decent young AUSAs, shure, butt it's still a league below the Top Five I've cited above.

You're in the big league now, Dave. And the Seventh Circuit is one of the criminole defendants' least favorable appellate circuits (altho the Fifth Circuit is not far behind). Easterbrook eats crooks like you for his daily breakfast.
