I agree that they would have an interest in buying -- at least the smaller ones -- in order to gain market share quickly. But that is a ways down the road, from what I'm understanding.

From what I was told the PRO's aren't going to like what the radio stations could do with Soundstr so there will be resistance. But that's good -- costs will go down as competition goes up. OTOH it also means that it likely will take some time though for all of that to play out.

It may take several years as stations one by one attempt to renegotiate their contracts with Soundstr reports as the bargaining chip.

IMO one of the big three music publishers would have far more monetary incentive - as well as the money to acquire it....
