Wow.... that's a wide open question. I don't know that there is a common investment figure. But from $50 to $1,000 is probably the bottom end. From there on up to $10,000.
There aren't many trip 1's out there now.....but that would buy you between 500k and 10 mil shares.
In general terms on trips I go in with between a million on iffy tickers. 5 mil is probably my norm. 10 mil if I really like it. Then play with the numbers from there. Accumulating the movers and selling the non performers eventually. Learned a long time ago to keep a broad portfolio. Eventually it ideally becomes more about managing the money and risk moreso than managing the stocks. In my view anyway.
