ATT's dividend is handsome only because the shares have fallen. Most of the widows/orphans in the stock are here for its long history of paying a reliable growing dividend.
T shares have greatly lagged the S&P for the past 8 years. It's certainly not a stock I'd DRIP or buy more of. Luckily it's one of my tiniest holdings.
