It's really not all that complex, for every buyer there's a seller and for ever seller there's a buyer, this is by definition what volume is. Tricky word, I know....
By your statement, Apple was never and still is not a good buy. The "loose" hands selling shares to buyers for 10 cents back in 1982 surely should have been the sign to ALL investors that the company was doomed hahahahahahahaha.
There are plenty of books explaining the basic fundamentals of the stock market and even further more how the basic principle of supply vs demand works.
