If u look back. Tomasello has been trying to integrate neomagic and sbssa for almost 12 years! That is a frisking long time! I think he bought Mercado to offer an e retail combination to Spanish broadcasting Just never came to fruition. I personally do not think the recent trading has anything to do with sbssa.

Dear Amy Pascal,
We read the exciting news about how Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) rode the box office performance of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" to a profitable fiscal first quarter by posting an increase in operating income,  increase in revenues and cost-cutting initiative. This is great news for Sony shareholders! Since Sony named Kaz Hirai as President and CEO in early 2012 we've been continuously buying Sony Corp. (SNE) Common stock and we are still doing so as our Investment Group has already amassed a big stake in SNE and would like to continue to do so as long as they continue to be undervalued. We strongly believe the turnaround efforts will bear fruits in the long run. On the other side, in 2008 we started accumulating share of Spanish Broadcasting Systems www.spanishbroadcasting.com (SBSA) and right now own around 9% of the common. As you can read in this link http://www.insideradio.com/article.asp?id=2617158&spid=32061#.U-JpJdgg-M8 we've been pressing SBS for quite a while to find a partner for its TV/Film division www.mega.tv . Sony Pictures could co-produce and distribute its content in spanish on Mega TV.
We believe Sony is the best partner not only on the TV side but also on the music/entertainment divisions as SBS is the biggest Hispanic Radio Company in the USA and has an entertainment division sbsentertainment.com that could do well with Sony Music. One of their many radio stations WSKQ-FM Mega 97.9FM is Leader In The Tri-State Area In New York As The #1 Station In The Market Regardless Of Language http://online.wsj.com/article/PR-CO-20140710-911132.html We believe that if we put together OneSony and SBS 360 Degrees strategies together it will be a win-win for both companies and will certainly help place Sony consumer products in the minds of the fastest-growing market in the U.S: The Hispanic Market
Let me know if you'd like to dicuss this possible partnerships to enhance value further. I'm in NYC most of the time but could make myself available in California as I visit NeoMagic (NMGC) in San Jose quite often.
Sincerely, David Tomasello Managing partner of Attiva Capital, Bluestone Financial and Chairman of NeoMagic Corp.
