You could be right, the market is looking for confirmation. That is essentially what I said. The market COULD be disappointed. Maybe something delayed the trial start. I could be disappointed. You gave an example of Novavax saying their trial was delayed but they also said the trial was to “begin in the coming weeks.” That sounds like Leo on timeframe specificity. Maybe in the case of IPIX the trial wasn’t delayed?

I don’t know. Lots coulds, mights, mays and ifs.

Likely IPIX buyout by big pharma, prediction

Thank you for posting these links wsbc

In past postings to Clinical Trial by Innovation, it appears IPIX or CTIX have made their first posts about past trials to the clinical trials website AFTER it was already completed.

That said, if IPIX likely first posting on Clinical Trials .gov for a Feb. 1 trial start, going by past postings, is not going to be until months later, then I can see why checking on that particular site for months is probably going to prove frustrating for some people but does NOT prove the trial did not commence at all. That is just fear mongering.

Given the unprecedented amount of interest that currently exists in finding the magic potion, a therapeutic drug that will defeat Covid, I would expect that at the first sign of positive effects on hospital patients, a buzz will begin within the associated medical and bio pharmaceutical community, which I'm learning is a very small world of players inside a loop "in the know."

Before the time any posting might appear on clinical trials .gov I can guarantee you that representatives of big pharma, who are more familiar with the science than anyone on here, and who have been just waiting for word from that Brilacidin, when used intravenously in a human trial showed effectiveness in combating covid, they will quickly will step in with buyout offers.

Most of us here of us believe this will happen because the science already shows Brilacidin is safe to use and more effective than the big money generating, FDA approved remdesivir.

From previous articles posted here, we can understand that when big pharma -- via merger and or acquisition -- takes control of a drug in development, that is the equivalent of "the adults in the room" taking over, meaning their lawyers and executives are very effective at eating red tape for breakfast and getting whatever drug approved relatively quickly and onto the market.

And so they will be approaching IPIX's CEO Leo Ehrlich with buyout offers as early as this week or next or as soon as the 29-day trial has concluded. $6 a share? $10? $15, $20, or $30+?? Pick one or several. More than one company is interested in acquiring Brilacidin. Kevetrin too.

The behind the scenes negotiations is something none of us can expect to be privy to. Meanwhile you'll hear constant chirping on these boards from posters who have whatever angle they have for wanting to knock the share price down by sowing seeds of doubt.
