Ombow, >> BABYF <<

Thanks. I only have a small position, which went from $1000 to 2000. With an OTC microcap you can't expect pristine financials, but I wasn't aware that their product had those negatives you mentioned. With these small positions, I tend to not do a ton of research, and mainly go by the chart and general 'story'. The company does appear to be extremely energetic, and is great at marketing, which is half the battle.

The only other individual stocks I have are Generac (GNRC) and Grow Generation (GRWG), which have been going gangbusters, plus IPIX and another small biotech called Kazia (KZIA), which Bladerunner is following. I also have a sizable group of individual REITS. Mainly I'm in a large group of sector ETFs (link below) for the more aggressive allocation, but the bulk of the stock exposure comes from broad index ETFs (total stock market, S+P 500, QQQ), and these are balanced by the bonds, gold/silver, cash. This diverse approach has been doing great, and without the usual sleep disrupting angst.

Last year I had a large number of individual stocks, but swapped those for the broad index ETFs since the results are better/steadier, and the ETFs will allow you to quickly bail out should the economy/markets really start to unravel. Also, dozens of individual stocks are just too much to follow, and performance-wise, it's tough to beat the indexes. The sector ETFs are my favorites though, you just identify the best long term sectors and hang on.

I'll check out EMAN. I'm usually not that big on hardware and semiconductor stocks, but EMAN really took off in 2020. The previous 10 years it was consistently flat/down though. Historically with hardware stocks there is the problem of their technology being 'leapfrogged', plus commoditization can occur which erodes the profitability. I remember Peter Lynch and Buffett avoided the semis/hardware stocks, the technology is ever changing and difficult to understand.

Ombow, With the sector ETFs, most sectors have multiple ETFs available to invest in, but there are a few sub-sectors that aren't covered yet. One in particular that looks interesting is the emerging Psychedelic Medicine sector. There is a recent ETF, but so far it's only available on the Canadian NEO exchange - Horizons Psychedelic Stock Index ETF (NEO:PSYK). That's one that would be worthy of investing in. One of the companies in the ETF is MindMed (MMEDF), which is up huge in the last year. As with the cannabis sector, there is a lot of potential, and it's increasingly clear that this area is being given the 'green light' (for better of worse) and should experience rapid growth.

Another great looking growth area is Biometrics + Digital ID, though I haven't seen an ETF for it yet, though some of the stocks are included the broader Cybersecurity sector ETFs. Same with Nanotechnology, which had a dedicated ETF several years ago, but it closed. Another interesting area that I call Food Innovation had an ETF (DIET) but I guess it didn't attract enough investors.

Otherwise most of the high growth sectors have ETFs (list below). This is a great alternative to trying to pick individual stocks, and the returns have been spectacular. And these sectors aren't just flavor of the month, on the contrary they represent the best long term growth areas out there. They also recovered first/strongest following the March 2020 market crash, so they can actually be seen as 'defensive'. High valuation is the one aspect to watch, and these sectors aren't cheap, but that is where the growth is, so investors keep coming back after any correction. I've been cleaning up on these ETFs, and you don't have to research individual stocks. Seems like a no brainer for the more aggressive part of a stock allocation -
