I recall either ETrade or Scottrade back a few years wanted like $70 bucks to deal with converting/handling certificates. Seems unless the damn company doesn't pay for that I won't ever put myself in that position again. Now possibly if the stock was at a decent share price the conversion charges won't bother me.
